The Casey Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer organization focused on preserving the rich history of Casey, Iowa and the surrounding area. The Historical Society holds monthly meetings at the Visitors Center, as well as dinners/fundraisers throughout the year. One recent project has been the restoration of the 100 year old Grand Army of the Republic Monument at the Casey Oakwood Cemetery.
In addition to that, the Historical Society has been responsible for the installation of central air conditioning in the Visitor's Center, and currently is coordinating/contributing funds for new electrical and interior paint to restore the amazing 1908 former Catholic Church back to it's former glory. If anyone would like to get involved in this great organization, please contact a current member!
